Gurez Valley Expedition

Start early (6 AM) for a thrilling drive to Gurez via Razdan Pass (11,672 ft), offering panoramic views of the Himalayas. Descend into the picturesque Dawar town. Check into your wooden log hut or campsite. Enjoy the absolute silence and starry night.

Drive further into the valley towards Tulail. The landscape dramatically changes to rugged mountains and the turquoise Kishanganga River. Visit the traditional village of Sheikhpura and interact with the friendly Dard - Shina tribe. Their culture/language is distinct from Kashmiri.

Visit the pyramid-shaped Habba Khatoon Peak, named after the poetess-queen. Visit the spring at the base where she is said to have wandered. Walk along the banks of the Kishanganga river (Neelam River). Experience local trout fishing if interested.

Bid farewell to this untouched paradise. Drive back to Srinagar via Bandipora. Stop for lunch at Wular Lake vantage point (Watlab). Reach Srinagar by evening and check into your hotel.
